OK so a red hoodie with the letter appliqued in yellow, that shouldn't be too hard. But the problem was he didn't want to wait till I'd bought a red hoodie he wanted it NOW so I knew I needed to improvise. I'd just ironed a red t-shirt with a button neck and I knew that was the only plain red one he had. It wasn't ideal as the neck limited the space on the front but it would have to do. I dug around in my felt drawer and found half a sheet of felt just big enough to do a letter S. So I sketched the letter, cut it out and ironed it on and promised to sew it on just as soon as I'd finished the ironing. Cue "have you finished yet?" every two minutes! I was going to applique stitch it in yellow but he insisted it had to be green which actually looks pretty good.
Here he is modelling his super cool new top, you can see how happy he was he was grinning like a lunatic!
and as usual sticking his tongue out at the camera!!
so cute! My little guy is obsessed with Alvin and the Chipmunks too! This is a really great idea, I might have to try it out! Thanks! ♥ BJ
